Impress your mates with these easy, delicious glazed venison meatballs as a gourmet appetizer or bulk them up with rice or noodles and Asian veggies to make a meal for four.
Method
- To make meatballs, combine meatball ingredients and mix well. Roll into approximately 24 balls. Cover and refrigerate until required.
- To make glaze, combine all ingredients in a small pot and gently heat until sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
- Add 1/2 Tbsp vegetable oil to a large frying pan and bring to medium heat. If you'd prefer bite-sized meatballs, break each meatball in half and roll into 2 smaller ones.
- Brown meatballs on all sides, then remove from heat leave meatballs in the warm pan for approximately 3 minutes to allow them to cook through.
Serve
Pour glaze over meatballs, then arrange glazed meatballs on a platter or plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced scallions.
Serve meatballs with tooth picks and napkins as a fantastic gourmet appetiser.

This recipe also works well served with rice or noodles and Asian veg.
